More About Your Coach:
Michelle is a wife and mother who fell in love with Jesus through in-depth Bible study. Saved in 1982, Michelle wandered the desert path of a prodigal daughter until she landed in a small country church in North Texas at the age of 30. There she found roots for her faith and wings to fly, seeking to become all God created and redeemed her to be.
While growing in both her faith and relationship with God and other people, she found a passion to connect people to God’s heart through creative expression. She recently concluded a season working as an inspired gallery artist and instructor at Against the Grain Studio in Granbury, Texas. In addition to her work as an artist, she has completed associate certification as an Executive Coach, and received ordination for ministry through National Association of Christian Ministers in 2016.
In 2009, God began to speak to her about being a Wildflower. At first she despised the word, but her heart changed as He began to show her the beautiful nature of a landscape filled with wildflowers. Through this vision, her heart grew to love the resiliency and tenacity of the wildflower. She learned that wildflowers may grow out in a lush field, be planted in a yard, plucked up for a vase in the house or set up on a mountaintop for the pleasure of God alone. And as she embraced her own identity as God’s Wildflower, her heart began to desire to raise up other wildflowers who are searching for their place among leaders while walking out their everyday lives.
Michelle has served in both lay and vocational ministry roles in three local church communities throughout the last 14 years. During that time she has grown in intimacy with God through Jesus Christ, walked with and mentored women from all walks of life and developed her gifts and leadership skills through pursuing training and the Scriptures. She is the founder of BloomingInspiredNetwork.com, a ministry devoted to equipping and empowering women to walk in their role and reign in God’s Kingdom. Blooming Inspired Network grew out of a need to reach into women’s lives as they search for a place that will welcome them, help them heal, find identity, become passionate about purpose, and empower them to live out the life of abundance God has promise them. She believes God has called her to “create after her own kind” raising up Wildflower Women around the globe.
Fun Stuff!!
Family: Married to my husband, Scott, since 1998, when they blended their family of three and four into seven (number of completion). They have four grown children: Brittany, Travis, Taylor and Megan. Their eldest child, Justin, went home to heaven for safe-keeping at the age of 17 in 2005. Favorite times for the couple are spent traveling around the country, time with family at birthday dinners and holidays year round. They find it a blessing to have all their children and extended family living nearby.
Salvation Experience: In 1982 after recognizing my sinful nature and need of salvation, I told my parents. They called the youth minister at our church who stopped by with an open book test. “Read these Scriptures and answer these questions and then we will come by and review them with you.” I must have passed because they did come by and review my answers after which we prayed and I received Christ as my Savior.
Previous Line of Work: Jack of many trades, but master of none. Mostly food and customer service positions.
Most Fascinating: How God redeems even the most horrible things and, if we allow Him to do so, restores them back to better than we remember them.
CURRENT PROJECT: A book documenting her journey finding joy after the devastating loss of her son, Justin.
