This all started with a moment of just needing to get away with like-minded women, GIRLFRIENDS! I posted the idea to Facebook and in less than 12 hours had 18 RESPONSES.
Join me for a weekend Girlfriends Getaway in Port Aransas, Texas from September 11-13, 2015.
We’ll leave from the StoneWater Church (This trip is not affiliated with StoneWater Church) in Granbury, TX at 7:00 pm and caravan to the historic and once sleepy little fishing town of Port Aransas, Texas. The trip is a little more than a six hour drive and we’ll add an hour for a lunch stop. Check-in is at 2:00 pm.
We’ll stay in a house just a few minutes walk from the 18 mile stretch of beach in the Beach Comber Vacation Rental
Community. The house features access to a community pool, 3 bedrooms and 2.5 bathrooms and sleeps 10. It has an open concept style living and dining area with a table that will seat up to 12 people, and a view of the ocean for the property’s 
porches.
That evening there is a free concert in the park featuring local muscians we might want to check out after dinner and a nearby bird sanctuary for catching site of some of God’s most beautiful creatures in the natural wetlands in and around Port Aransas.
But, more than all of this… There is an amazing opportunity for us just to get away with women who share a faith in Christ in common and fellowship with one another over two days. This will be a time of personal encounter with God and a time of fellowship with other women desiring to soak in God’s presence. We
will cook together, paint together, worship together, and play together with time built in for both group and private encounters with God. I expect to execute between now and September. It will be a full day Friday thru a
full day Sunday. The price will be $125.00 per person including meals at the retreat. ONLY 10 spots available for this retreat.
Registration is available to the first ten who respond and pay the $50 deposit to hold your spot. The remaining $75.00 may be paid by August 1, 2015. Registration with Deposit will be open until May 1st! Don’t wait – sign up today! The deposit will be non-refundable after August 1, 2015, but is transferrable if your plans change and you are no longer able to make the trip.

I’m encouraging you to read “Women at War” by Jan Greenwood between now and then. Think of what God might be wanting to do in our lives through this book.
