Blog Through The Bible: A Week of UGH!

For a gal who made her way into ministry filling in her Bible study blanks weeks before the study even started just so she never came up short on any given week of leading Women’s Ministry… This post creates a wealth of conflict for me.

I’m three days late on my Monday post AND an overwhelming five days late on my Friday post. But, I’m here – still kicking and reading. I just am out of energy this week. Our church hosted a pastor’s conference this week, and I had additional duties besides my regular weekly routine. I went to bed at 6:30 pm last night and find myself sitting in a darkened living room, enjoying the quiet and awaiting the arrival of the television series “The Tudors”on my television a little later this evening.

I’m just beat and find the prospect of conjuring a blog post up out of my weary heart and mind an absurd proposition so I come to you tonight, in humility and in contrition, and I ask for two things: 1.) prayer. Lots. Of. Prayer; and 2.) forgiveness. I did not keep my commitment and it was totally my idea. I love you much whether you read or read and write. I’m grateful you’ve been along on the journey and pray the Lord is meeting with you continually in the pages of His Word.

  1. Tell me about it. It does not seem to be slowing down. I wish I could say I’m not behind, but it would so be a lie at this point. I’m slowing the pace — I have had so much upside down stuff I can’t even explain. NOT. A. MINUTE. TO. SPARE.

I’ll be back soon. Now that life seems to be slowing down a bit. I’m working through what I can on this end. Praying for fresh revelation and energy.

I didn’t get my Friday posts up either… Drats. 🙁 Well, I’m moving forward – no sense crying over posts not made. 🙂 Blessings. and thanks for coming along. 🙂 YOUR POST IS AWESOME, BTW.

  2. Well, life has been really crazy since we started all this. I am behind as I know (or guess) you are Michelle. I have decided the year parameter may have to go. I am going to continue B’ing TTB but I’m not going to worry so much about the schedule. Hope that’s OK. Anyway – here’s my late post – from last weeks reading. But I felt it was supposed to be posted this week. 🙂 http://deepbreathministries.com/blog/category/c-notes/

  3. I knew something was up Michelle and suspected an avalanche of duties for you during this big conference. You know, I am glad you have the freedom in your heart to JUST SAY NO to trying to work something up when a week like this happens. This might be our BTTB grace verses law test. If we get too caught up in “keeping the schedule” aren’t we responding to the letter of the law rather than the breeze of the Spirit?
I have read enough of your writings to know God can get an amazing post out of you even when you are tired and frazzeled. Sooooo I am thinking He just wants to sit on the couch with you in the darkened room and watch a little of “The Tudors”. Enjoy! I’d say thats the best kind of bible study.
