I affirm these statements as my own true and personal beliefs. I further state that my profession of faith in Jesus Christ as both savior and Lord has been a constant confession from the age of 12 and that I was baptized in water at salvation in October 1982 and again in February 2005, after I received personal revelation and a renewed commitment in my life as a disciple of Jesus Christ.

Jesus Christ is my personal Lord and Savior, the beloved Son of the One True God and Father as defined in Scripture. I seek daily to live by His commands, the fruit of the Holy Spirit, and by His power at work in me.

I believe in one eternally existent God, who has eternally presented Himself as three persons: The Father, The Son, and The Holy Spirit. (Genesis 1:1-2, 26; Deuteronomy 6:4; Matthew 3:16-17, 17:13-17, 28:16-20; Luke 3:21-22; John 1:1-36, 5:39, 10:30-36, John 14:9-11, 17:21; Romans 14:17-18, 15:30; 1 Corinthians 12:4-6; 2 Corinthians 1:21-22; Ephesians 4:4-6; Colossians 1:15-17; Hebrews 1:1-3; 1 John 2:1-29; I J0hn 5:7-8; Jude 1:20-21)

I believe in the Holy Bible, canonized as 66 books, called scripture. I affirm it to be an inspired, God-breathed document that reveals the truth about God’s character, nature, and history with His creation, the earth, and all humankind. I believe the essence of scripture is true doctrine and theology apart from the interpretation of men. (Jeremiah 30:2; Matthew 4:4; Luke 4:4; John 16:13; 2 Timothy 3:16-17; 1 Corinthians 2:12-13; 2 Peter 1:20-21)

I believe Jesus Christ is the Word of God. The living and active, powerful expression of God who was with God in the beginning. By Whom God creates and sustains everything that was ever created. I believe scripture reveals that Christ is the expressed image of the invisible God who continually executes His Father’s eternal plan. He exists to reveal and bring glory to His Father eternally. (Matthew 24:35; John 1:1-14; John 2:22 [distinct from written scriptures], 17:17; Romans 10:17; Colossians 3:16; Ephesians 6:17 [see Revelation 1:16]; Hebrews 4:12, 6:1; 1 Peter 1:24-25; 1 John 1:1, 4; Revelation 19:13)

I believe Jesus Christ is the Messiah, the true Anointed One, the Son of God who fulfilled both the Old Testament Law and Messianic Prophecies. He was born to a virgin, lived a sinless life, and performed great works that included signs, wonders, miracles, casting out demons, and raising the dead. His life ended at approximately 33 years of age. He lived His life on earth as fully God, but by choice, was limited in humanity to grow up from a boy to a man, as the scriptures explain. He lived empowered by The Holy Spirit, guided and approved of by The Father, and the fullness of The Godhead in bodily form.  He ministered for approximately three years, calling to Himself a group of individuals he called disciples and later apostles. He was arrested, tried, and executed by the Jewish (Religious) and Roman (Gentile, Governing) rulers, dying upon a cross during Passover, and was buried for three days before rising again. Many eyewitness accounts confirmed his resurrection. He ascended to the heavenly realm after His resurrection to await His Father’s command to return in power and glory and reclaim His creation for all time. (Genesis 3:14, 12:1-20, 49:10; Deuteronomy 18:18-19; Psalm 2, 22, 16:10, 68:18; 69:4, 21; 110:1, 118:22; Proverbs 30:40; Isaiah 7:14, 9:6-7, 11:1, 10, 42:6, 53:1-12; Jeremiah 22:5-6; Daniel 1:9-25; Hosea 3:4-5; Micah 5:2; Zechariah 9:9; 12:10, 13:7; The Gospels of Matthew, Mark, Luke & John; Romans 1:1-6; Acts 3:18, 13:29; Revelation 1, 6:1-17)

I believe faith in Jesus is first the work of the Holy Spirit, who provides the gift of faith and convicts the world of sin, revealing salvation by grace through faith as God’s gift. The present ministry of the Holy Spirit enables every believer to live an abundant, overcoming, and godly life. Faith comes by hearing, and hearing comes by the Word of God being quickened in our hearts by His Spirit. I affirm that salvation is a response to God that comes to us by His grace through the gift of faith and it is not something we can do for ourselves or give ourselves to – it must be received by faith. The Holy Spirit seals us in the gift of salvation when we receive it as a guarantee on the day of redemption. (Ephesians 2:8-9;

I believe that salvation occurs when we recognize ourselves as sinners in need of a Savior, Jesus Christ, the Son of God, who died on the cross to atone for the sins of every human being and was raised in power from the dead. This faith in Christ becomes affirmed as belief by confessing Him as Lord of our lives. All that call upon the name of the Lord are saved. I believe the scriptures indicate that faith in Christ and belief in Him are required for one to be saved – not every person will receive the free gift of salvation, but the gift is available to all and is for all human beings.

I believe that if you’ve experienced Jesus, you’ve experienced the Father, and the Holy Spirit exists to seal and empower every believer through sanctification toward the overcoming life in Christ. The Holy Spirit’s role in the believer’s life is to bring them into the revelation of Truth, to sanctify the believer with Truth, and to maturity, power, and authority to believers who are worshipping in Truth that this life will bring freedom and unity to the body of Christ and birth a desire in each of us to know and live from the heart of the Father and the character and mind of Christ.

I believe everyone who professes the name of Christ is called to live in God’s quality of love. We are to first love God with all our heart, soul, mind, and strength, and then we are to love our neighbors as we love ourselves. This love, especially our love for other believers, demonstrates that we belong to Jesus and that He is indeed the author and finisher of our faith in Him.

I believe all believers are to pursue unity in the faith and Gospel of our Lord Jesus Christ. I affirm that as the body, we are to take the Gospel of His Kingdom and Salvation to the ends of the earth, disciplining all nations and baptizing them into the Name of the Father, Son, and Holy Spirit. Furthermore, our commission includes the works of Christ empowered in us by the Holy Spirit, who works in us with the same power that raised Jesus from the dead.

– I believe that Scripture indicates both faith and ministry in the body of Christ are not limited by age, gender, title, or gifting but by the power of the Holy Spirit and that which promotes equipping the saints for the works of ministry and unity in the faith. I believe that all spiritual gifts listed in scripture are applicable and effective in the body of Christ today, and we exercise them through dependence on and the power of the Holy Spirit.

– I believe that every believer is called to participate in a local gathering of believers, to serve as God calls and gifts them, and to support the works of ministry in their community, building up, encouraging, and strengthening each other in love and good deeds until the day of Christ’s return.

– I believe Christ will return at the command of His Father and defeat the adversary of God and the fallen angels, ushering in the New Jerusalem and His Heavenly Kingdom where believers will give an account of their lives for reward and unbelievers will give an account of their lives toward eternal judgment.
